Current Events Taika Waititi Coca-Cola advert

 Taika Waititi 

Taika Waititi is a well-known New Zealand film director who has played roles in movies such as Jojo Rabbit, Thor Ragnarok, Avengers endgame, Boy, and Hunt for the wilderpeople. 

He recently directed a Coca-Cola ad, he is joined by an actor known as Cohen Halloway from Thor Ragnarok and Hunt for the Wilderpeople for this advert.

Cohen Halloway plays as a father who works on an oil rig who is given a letter for Santa from his daughter to post for Christmas but her father realizes he’s forgotten to post it.

Having missed the postal boat he goes on a journey to deliver it to Santa, When he gets to the North Pole he finds that Santa’s workshop is closed. 

He’s given a lift home by a Coca-Cola truck and to his surprise the driver is Santa. 

The advert tagline is “ This Christmas, give something only you can give” aiming at spending time with family.

Over the past couple days, I have been reading two articals about sportsmanship one of them being how Marion Jones using enhancements to win in the olympics and the other being how the spainish paralympics basketball team pretended to be mentally disabled to win. It was very interesting learning abouthow they both cheated and this is my compairarson. 

Puppy with green fur

 On the Italian island of Sardinia, a litter of puppies was born four were white like their mother and one was green, the owner called him pistachio, the owner put the four white dogs up for adoption and kept pistachio.

The rare phenomenon is thought to happen when a light coloured dog comes in contact with biliverdin, 

biliverdin is a green pigment and the same pigment that turns bruises green.

It dyes its fur in the womb and fades over time, although green dogs are rare they are not unheard of in January this year a white german shepherd gave birth to a green german shepherd and in 2017 in Scotland, a golden retriever gave birth to a green puppy.

According to the owners' vet, he got told that “ during the gestation period, biliverdin, a substance from bile, mixes with amniotic fluid from the placenta, staining the weaker puppy.”

Current events NASA asteroid

 An enormous asteroid big enough to leave a six-mile-wide crater and darken the world with dust if it hit Earth went by our planet on April 29. The object, called 1998 OR2 is at least a mile wide, and while it poses no threat it will pass within four million miles of our planet close enough to be classified by NASA as potentially hazardous because it will continue to make close passes to Earth in the future as both objects orbit the sun.

Earth will almost certainly confront a space rock large enough to obliterate a city or worse at some point in its future That’s why NASA is launching a spacecraft next year to conduct the first test of one promising strategy for stopping a killer asteroid Hit it while it’s still far enough away to alter its course.
